It's been a while since I last scrible on the xanga. For once, I am beginning to feel annoyed at the constant downtime on xanga.com. I am seriously think of changing to another blog hoster, but I am not sure which one to sign up with. Sometimes, being able to log in and read some stuffs is considered a priviledge, while the downtime experienced by most xanga users is a commoner these days.

Too many things happen since I last blog, but I'll leave the details to the next entry. For now, I am just a little bored at looking at the same thing again and again.

Good nite for now, and to all Chinese around the world, may our cup of prosperity indeed overflows as we celebrate a new lunar year! =)

ENFPs are basically happy people. They may become unhappy when they are confined to strict schedules or mundane tasks. Consequently, ENFPs work best in situations where they have a lot of flexibility, and where they can work with people and ideas. Many go into business for themselves. They have the ability to be quite productive with little supervision, as long as they are excited about what they're doing.

Because they are so alert and sensitive, constantly scanning their environments, ENFPs often suffer from muscle tension. They have a strong need to be independent, and resist being controlled or labelled. They need to maintain control over themselves, but they do not believe in controlling others. Their dislike of dependence and suppression extends to others as well as to themselves.

Aunty Mabel gave me a recipe that can help me shed off some unwanted flabs. It was a very cheap, effective, efficient, easy and healthy diet with lots of vegetables and fruits. Today is my third day into the diet program and I have already shed off 3 pounds! It was unbelievable. If you are interested in the recipe, let me know and I’ll email it over to you. You don’t have to spend lavishly on anything, just gotta be careful with what you eat and that’s it.

Nothing much has been happening lately which is of worth penning. There was no electricity across the country apparently for about an hour or so just now. I was a little affected because I ran out of petrol and petrol stations were not operating due to an electrical trip in Kapar. My mom was quite afraid that my car may stalled on the way home and I may be stranded somewhere. By faith God will definitely bring me home, enough to give me that extra drop in my petrol tank.

I called up Cher Wei, my niece and had a short chat yesterday. As you know, I have already returned the Pajero to them and is driving my own car now. When I returned the Pajero to them, the horn was not working too well. It was working but only at miraculous time, when I needed it to that is. But when Cher Kang (my nephew) was driving it, the horn goes off every now and then, shocking its surrounding road users in between. Hehehee… that’s right.. that is what the Pajero is so capable of doing. I don’t really miss that Pajero by now. I am very grateful for the years that it has served me, however, my new Mazda Fighter is so much more comfortable and so much more fun to drive. But the bad thing is, I tend to accumulate much perspiration after each drive because the leather-like PVC seat isn’t absorbing much human heat.

I am now looking at shifting house desperately. For a moment I can’t wait to shift out from Bangsar. I hated this place. I grew up here but I really do hate this place. I’m looking at planning to move out asap. May God grant me wisdom to know where to go soon.

Also at the same time, I gave myself a lot of pressure to earn a certain amount this month. I’ve been ok with it, but need lots of God’s grace to see me through. Blogging almost have been a thing of the past, as much as I look forward to entering new entries. Anyway, life in 2005 is no different than late 2004. See how things go yeah! J

A multitude of events took place in the last one week, most of which are worth penning it down.

On Tuesday, 21^st Dec 2004, I have organized a Christmas dinner together with my lifegroup members. I thank God most of my invited guests came. I was very honoured when Francissca Peter graced my event and brought some guests together with her. I was told that she had a few important performances to do, but she blocked this date to attend my dinner. I was very honoured that there are people who actually placed far more importance in friendships than money-making endeavours after all. The event went quite well, there were not much complains. I have spent a lot of money on this event to ensure that it went on smoothly.

What I was not very happy about was that this is a classic case of “a minority doing the work of the majority” situation. However, there are a few people whom I really appreciate with all my heart.

I have Michelle who were my right-hand and who does a lot of things for me on that day. Without her, I do not think I would be able to pull it off so smoothly. She contributed much more than I expected at first when she first approached me “is there anything I can do on that day?”. Trust me, what she did was far more than merely helping. She took it to her stride that it was her event as well and ensure that things do go on smoothly. I really thank God for Michelle a thousand fold, and I pray for God’s richest blessings on her for what she did.

I thank God for Pat who helped me financially for this event. She gave me more than what I asked of her. All along Pat is one of the most understanding person in my life, and year in year out, she demonstrated that even more. I so thank God for her in my life. Without her, I really can say I wouldn’t be where I am now.

I thank God for Raymond who contributed the drinks. It was no easy task as he has to hold so many barrels of Cordeal drinks and walked all the way from his house to Wei Chee’s house to ensure I get them on time for the event.

I thank God for aunty Mary and family who graciously offered their house for this event. Without them, I really have no idea where to hold it at all. Or, there may not be an event in the first place. Aunty Mary and Wendy helped me with the planning of the event of that day too. And I thank God for that very much.

The food was superb. For RM12 per person, having 8 dishes was really worth it, and indeed was a feast. The food was really good, and if you need the contact of the caterer, be in touch with me. This caterer comes highly recommended by me!

I received a lot of gifts on that day. Clients came and graced the event. Clients enjoyed themselves, and most of all, they enjoyed talking to Fran. My cousin brother was so into Fran that he was practically taking note of her.

Uncle Gak Keong shared the message and Jowie’s son indicated need for salvation. He wants Jesus into his heart. Lord, praise You for his salvation indeed.

That’s all a short report on the Christmas dinner.

That was on Tuesday.

(I am trying to summarise everything, but looks like my summary is not a summary at all).

Amanda’s mom called me last week to ‘babysit’ Amanda and Ashley this week because they would be away in Singapore for a holiday. She just wanted to ensure that at least there is an adult in the house so that the two girls are not afraid of being alone in a big house. I agreed to the task. So, since Monday night, I stayed over at Amanda’s place with Rachael and had lots of fun.

On the first night, Amanda had her cousin over. We played Taboo and indeed it was fun. Her cousins were really ‘cheong hei’ when they needed to describe a particular item. One of them went “from the body, the part that speaks, the long thing in it, the water in it, then when it came out, it’s called a….” it was sooo funny to have such long explanation. Mine was funny when I was trying to explain “menopause”. I’ll spare the details.

Amanda, Rachael and I slept together on Amanda’s bed. It was a double bed, so it was a little space-tight. Rach slept in the middle. Amanda and I was soundly asleep throughout the night, and I knew Rach was not at all. The next morning, I rushed off to work and came back only after the lifegroup dinner.

That night, Rach slept really early and Amanda and I took time to prepare for bed. We watched some programs in the TV room together with Ashley first before going off to bed at 1am.

On Wednesday, Amanda accidentally dropped the newspaper on the ground and her autogate rolled onto it and caused it to be stucked. I asked her to go ahead to college while I would try to solve the problem. Rach, Ashley and I took about an hour to get the autogate running again. WE used all sorts of solutions, oil, water, car wash soluble, scissors to cut the newspaper into pieces and etc. We tried lifting the gate, pushing the gate, pulling the gate and it was not working. Working under the blazing hot sun was not helping either. But after much struggle, we finally pulled through. Praise God.

On the last night, I was so exhausted after a long Christmas rehearsal that by the time I reached Amanda’s house I was so ready for bed time. But instead of going straight to bed, I went to watch some tv programs first. What’s new anyway with me. Kawai can testify to that. When Amazing Race started, Rach was watching it together with me. I asked her to asked Amanda as well. WE both suspected that Amanda heard “Amazing bed” and went off to sleep instead! That was really funny. After the show, I went off to bed while Rach was preparing to sleep. Amanda slept at the side that I wanted, so I just go to the other side instead.

Expecting Rach to sleep in the middle again, I was waiting for Rach to come into the room subconsciously, but by the time I knew it, Amanda was sleeping in the middle while Rach was at the other side of the bed. Having Amanda in the middle was in a way a torture because she tickled me many times throughout the night. If her finger is not at my side, then her hair would be at my face! The next morning, we talked about it and laughed. Once again, the details are spared. But it was really funny about what we talked about that night.

I spend Thursday with Amanda, Ashley and Rachael taking it light and easy.

I realized that after you reach a certain age, a favourite past time would be to take things light and easy and to waste the day away, not wanting to be committed to anything. I had that and I really enjoyed it very much.

Last night was Calvary Church’s Christmas service. I personally enjoyed it very very much. Josephine Tiew, whom I had a desire to see more often, gave me a surprise sms to ask which service I was attending. The sms really made my day, and we decided to tag together then. I worship-led in both services and enjoyed myself then much more than the rehearsals themselves. The children’s service was far better than the adult’s one. I was at the adult’s service for barely 15minutes when my intuition was telling me that I gotta go.

Jo’s availability to be my backup singer was a saviour indeed. She gave me the confidence I needed to sing really. And Amanda commented that when I was out of tune, her in-tuned voice overshadowed mine, and as such my mistakes were really hidden. It was indeed a blessing to have her. Then, to see her smile and to so willingly avail herself was really an encouragement. Whenever I turn to see her while we were singing, she looked at me and sing and smiled at the same time, it was so melting and so encouraging indeed. Praise God for her!

Sometimes I sat back and recalled the days when she was much smaller then, meaning when she was much younger, and I wouldn’t imagine that she would be in such altitude of maturity. She not only look matured, but I seriously do think that she has quite a matured mind, even despite the fact that she loves a lot of Japanese cartoons.

Anyway, I just thank God for all that has happened in the last one week. There are too many events to write down. It’s now had spill over to 3pages when I intended to write only 1page.

Everyone around me have been saying that they are already in the Christmas mood. Sigh, I still feel like it's any other normal day. Sigh. I am not a pessimist, but I felt that some carols had been over-sung. Attending Christmas dinners and receiving Christmas gifts early don't help much either.

Honestly, all these are not too important. Most importantly, in my heart, Christmas is a day dedicated to share God's joy with the world. I spend my time with God every morning. And that's Christmas to me. Commercial emphasis and celebrations don't really do much for me, but God's joy change everything.

Paradox or not, I am not sure. Sigh, I want to warm up to Christmas just like everybody else, but I am feeling that this Christmas, something is so lacking. Sigh...

Went to watch "Phantom of the Opera" on Monday night. Citibank's Goldcard members only. Not me, I just got invited. Enjoyed myself thoroughly. Now, I am determined to practise my vocals every morning. I wanna be as good, though it is almost impossible.

The main actress is only 18 years old. That's a very impressive and outstanding performance by an 18-year-old really. You've gotta watch it. It's highly recommended.

I spent an hour in prayer last night. Silly me, brought my handphone in together with me and was distracted a few times. Even then, I had a good time of prayer. Today, things are better. I must say, today is much better than last week.

Woke up this morning at 6am for a good and refreshing morning walk at Taman Tun. Been thinking of a lot of things. Can't wait for the Sipadan trip to get away.

Suk Ling is very angry with me for some personal reasons. I felt so bad for being such a hypocrite. Thought of her so many times, and felt so guilty over what I did to her. I am doing all I can to save our friendship as well as to seek her forgiveness. I can't afford to lose her as a friend. She was there through thick and think for me when I was in university last time. Now that we are working, we are already drifted apart. Worst still, I did some stuff which I shouldn't have done. May God help me deal with it.

Today is the day the kids in kidsCAT shine their polished talents and unraveled their hidden giftings. Today they made the teachers and assistants and helpers proud by performing their best on the stage today. Today they made teacher Chris Ling cried at the end of the presentation, and they made teacher Chris Ling expressed his deep love for each and everyone of them in the ministry.

Today is the golden moment of presenting “Dr. Newheart’s Neck-Up Check-Up” presentation. I, being a MIA assistant (I am always missing in action half way through the classes every week), was so proud to be associated with these kids that I know for sure that kidsCAT ministry is the place I could serve with all my heart.

Since early July 2004, 56 of them had been practicing and practicing and practicing, their dancing, acting and singing skills were polished again and again and again and were put through the fiery drill of refining their professional skills (as teacher Chris Ling had put it).

The friendships that were started and developed were priceless, and I certainly do not want to exchange them for anything else in the world. I have grown to love all of them, and not wanting to be specific, a few of them have already captured and melted my heart and have a very special place in my heart indeed. Like Teacher Chris, I would definitely miss all of them and would cherish every moment spent in kidsCAT, even though it is only for a short period.

Last nite, after the prayer meeting, some of us stayed back till 12midnite to do up the props. Even though the kids were not there, I could tell that all the teachers and helpers enjoyed ourselves heaps and we were all like one big happy family, getting ready for the biggie today.

It indeed did come to fruitation. I do not know how many souls were won into the kingdom, but I do know that the efforts these kids put in were definitely not in vain.
